Terrence Beale served in the Marine Corps from 1990 to 1993 with inactive reserve status until 1997 and was honorably discharged as a lance corporal. Terrence was called to active status for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and served in combat in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq.
After separation from service, Terrence become a DJ at a local radio station and was also employed in the service industry. He has overcome substance dependance and became an Admissions Coordinator for a recovery service helpline.
Terrence now resides near the Bay Pine VA in Florida where he undergoes medical care for a multitude of health issues that have been connected to his exposure to burn pits and toxins while serving in the Persian Gulf. Terrence had to have both of his kidneys removed. He relies on a dialysis machine - 4 days a week for 4 hours a treatment to survive. Terrence is waiting for a life saving kidney transplant. His wait on the national deceased donor list may take over 5 years. He may not survive the wait.
Living kidney donation is safe for those who are medically cleared. The medical evaluation is covered by Terrence's transplant center. Other costs related to travel, lodging and lost wages can also be covered.
