Rick Jamieson enlisted in the US Air Force in 1986 after graduating high school and worked as an aircraft mechanic on KC-135 refuelers. He worked his way up to crew chief and was sent to England for a temporary duty assignment before his honorable discharge in 1990.

After his military service, Rick used his mechanical skills as a manager for a gas station, then became a service advisor at a car dealership before working in the service management department for 27 years. He is still working part-time but is now in warranty administration. Rick is married to Jennifer, his wife of 18 years, and has two sons and three stepchildren.

During routine lab work, Rick found out that he had blood in his urine, was later diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy, and lost his left kidney to cancer. As of May 2021, Rick has been reliant on dialysis for his survival, which leaves him extremely tired and lacks the energy he once had. It has affected his previous active lifestyle of hiking, kayaking, fishing – all things outdoors. Rick is an avid football fan and loves visiting and spending time with his family. Will you partner with us in giving him a chance to be whole again, to enjoy and participate in the things he loves?

Rick has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-449-8319.
