STATUS:

Received - Deceased Donor Transplant 9/21/24

Rick Christianson is a 58 year old Air Force Veteran. He served on active duty from 1987 to 1992 completing his service and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his service, he completed an Applied Management Science degree at rocky Mountain College.

Currently Rick works as a senior bank examiner for the State of Montana and owns Firehouse Subs with his son. He supports first responders whenever possible. He has been happily married to his wife Kellie for 37 years and have two children and two grandchildren.

Unfortunately, Rick has been diagnosed with end stage kidney disease. He is on the waiting list to receive a kidney transplant. However the wait for a deceased donor is many years long. He may not survive that wait. Rick's best chance is to find a living kidney donor.

Healthy people, who are medically cleared, can donate a kidney and live a normal life with one kidney.
They can save a life with their donated kidney. Rick is working with an organization (dovetransplant.org) supporting all prospective living donors who donate to Veterans on the wait list. All the costs related to the medical evaluation, travel and logistics are covered.

To learn more (confidentially) about donation please contact DOVE Transplant by clicking the link below or calling: (551) 233-1611. If you are not able to donate please consider sharing this link in your community.
Thank you!

Richard (Rick) Christianson
