STATUS:

Waiting

Peter Bockman spent six years in the US Navy serving in the Atlantic during the Vietnam war in anti-submarine warfare. He was a yeoman/company clerk doing paperwork and flight scheduling.

After the Navy, Peter attended college, became a Chelsea super fan, cheered for his NY Rangers, worked in hospitality management, and fulfilled a lifelong dream by working as a professional film and television actor. He is now a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

But the superseding pride and joy of his life are his three accomplished and loving daughters and his 4 young granddaughters. They all encourage his engagement in the things he loves: sports, pickleball, jazz, travel, and of course, all things family. He is further supported in love and life by his wife Marieme, who helped nurse him through a months-long stay in the ICU for acute pancreatitis in 2016. Two years ago Peter began battling diabetes, leading to kidney failure and now dialysis. Marieme, his daughters, and his 2 sisters are arm in arm helping Peter on this journey. He hopes that a new kidney will allow him to joyfully attend his youngest daughter’s college graduation, resume acting, and return to being the rock of his family.

Peter has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-449-8319.
