STATUS:

Waiting

Malcom Anderson, Sr. is a 66 year old Army Veteran who was deployed to Desert Storm. After 8 years of service was honorably discharged in 1991.

Malcolm was employed by the State of Maryland as a Correctional Officer and by 2001 he was promoted to Lieutenant supervising over 175 junior officers.

Upon retirement as a CO, Malcolm has kept jobs in Armed Security and has started his own tow truck company: Anderson & Son Towing. His youngest son is now working with him.

Malcom enjoys motorcyle riding, camping, and traveling. In 2000, he looped around the US in 24 days on his 1997 Honda Goldwing.

Unfortunately, Malcolm's adventures are limited these days. He is diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease. He needs a kidney transplant in order to live a life free from the constraints of dialysis.
Malcolm's wait for a kidney on the national deceased donor wait list is expected to take over 5 years. A living kidney donor would enable him to by pass that wait.

Living kidney donation is safe for those who are medically cleared. The testing is covered by Malcolm's transplant center. Other costs related to lost wages, travel, lodging are also covered.
Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers like Malcolm have sacrificed so much to keep us safe. Let us be there for them in their time of need. Please contact DOVE by clicking the link below to learn about kidney donation. Or you can call: 551-233-1611. Thank you!
