STATUS:

Received, Deceased Donor 12/23

Kilmer Marshall is a USMC Veteran who served 5 years in Marines and then 12 years in the Army Reserves. He was stationed at Camp LeJuene and Okinawa Japan. After his military service he worked as a driver and retired in 2021 after 23 years years.

Kilmer has been married twice. Both wives died of cancer. He has 8 children and many grandchildren.
Kilmer had uncontrolled high blood pressure This eventually damaged his kidneys and he is now reliant on dialysis to survive. He has been listed for a kidney transplant, but the wait for a kidney from a deceased donor is many years long. He may not survive that wait.

Kilmer needs to find a living kidney donor. Because he is a Veteran, he is working with a nonprofit organization called DOVEtranplant.org that is helping to find a living kidney donor. Only donors who are medically cleared are eligible to donate. The evaluation is covered by the transplant hospital and any out of pocket expenses related to travel or lost wages may be overed by DOVE or other organizations.
Please learn if you could give this Veteran the Gift of Life - by being a living kidney donor. Click the link below to learn more OR call 551-449-8319.
