Kathryn Papenhausen enlisted in the Marines right after college. She served three years as enlisted and three as an officer.
When enlisted, she as one of the only women who had a combat MOS in communications. Kathryn then had a Supply officer MOS and was deployed to Okinowa and Mt. Fuji during the final years of her service.
