STATUS:

Received, Deceased Donor 12/23

Jamey Murphy is a 53-year-old US Air Force Veteran who served for nine years in Communications Electronics Maintenance spending his first year in Germany. He came back to the States to Carswell AFB for two years, then deployed to Turkey for 15 months during Operation Northern Watch. Jamey spent three years in Hawaii and finished his service at Peterson AFB in Colorado with an honorable discharge in 1998.

After the military, he continued in the same career field and joined the FAA in 2008. In 2015 he could no longer work as an electronics technician, due to his kidney disease and became an administrative assistant with the FAA.

Jamey is married to his high school sweetheart, Neisey, and they have four children. They love to travel to National Parks, sightsee, visit zoos, and just spend time together as a family. Jamey contracted scarlet fever while in the Air Force unfortunately his white blood cells attacked his kidneys. He made it 18 years at Stage 3 before reaching Stage 4 in 2012. In 2015, Jamey was diagnosed with FSGS (focal segmental glomerulosclerosis) and is blessed to not need dialysis yet.

Please help us find a kidney for Jamey, so he can continue to help Neisey raise their children and be there for them! He has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
