STATUS:
Received! Deceased Donor 9/2023
George Price served 28 years in the Army before he retired in 2008.
George spent 22 years as an Army mechanic, working on both light-wheeled vehicles and tanks, before moving to a “cleaner position” in the kitchen, serving as a cook for his remaining six years. He traveled with his unit to Afghanistan for a year and where he sustained a neck and back injury. George was medically evacuated to Germany for treatment and eventually sent back to the states.
George was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in 2019 and has been on dialysis for four years. His wife Ashley is his caregiver, and they have been married for 19 years. With a new kidney, George would be better able to keep up with his dogs!
George has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-449-8319. Thank you.
