STATUS:

Waiting

Estanislado “Randy” Pacheco retired after 20 years of service. He saw five wars with US Air Force as a load master for C-130 and C-141 aircraft.

After his time in the Air Force, Randy worked in the casino business as an engineer and was a truck driver for UPS for 10 years. He has three children living in Las Vegas and in his earlier years, he coached Little League baseball.

Randy was diagnosed with diabetes in 2003 after gaining 200 pounds. He was able to lose the weight after a gastric bypass in 2016 and was no longer diagnosed with diabetes. His kidney disease caused him to need hemodialysis in 2020 and he goes three days a week to the center. He lives alone and is finding himself slowing down over the last six months.

With a new kidney, Randy would find renewed energy and a chance to enjoy his life in New Mexico and maybe visit his kids! He has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-449-8319.
