Calvin Powe is a Navy Veteran who served as a communication specialist for 3 years active duty and 5 years in the Navy reserves. He is still working full time as fire alarm technician for ADT despite being on dialysis for over a year. Calvin lives with his wife, who had a kidney transplant herself recently, and his daughter who is a high school teacher.
Due to the kidney disease in his family, there is no one able to donate to Calvin. He was reluctant to share his story until he learned that working with DOVE could help him find a kidney donor as well as raise awareness for other Veterans in need.
