STATUS:

Waiting

William Van Horn is a Vietnam combat veteran who served as an Infantry Mortar Squad Specialist in the U.S. Army. During his three years of service, Bill appreciated the opportunity to travel while serving his country.

After his discharge from the military, Bill’s career required him to wear many hats. He worked in retail management, as an HVAC mechanic and controls technician, Warehouse Supervisor, and Director of Maintenance. Now retired, Bill looks back on his career with pride, especially enjoying the problem-solving skills he honed along the way.

Bill is a devoted husband to his wonderful wife, a proud father of three amazing children, and has a real love for model railroading. He has been battling kidney disease for ten years and relies on dialysis to keep him alive, yet he continues to press on with his life. Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Bill? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the lives of his loved ones!

Bill has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
