Tyrone Fleshman served four years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic (ASM), reaching the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. He was born in Cleveland, OH, and now resides in Havelock, NC. He is the Immediate Past Commander (IPC) of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26 in his hometown.
Tyrone and his beautiful wife, Grinda, have been blessed with six children and six grandchildren. He has been serving for 11 years as the pastor of a historic 161-year-old church, where he counsels families battling grief and is a certified suicide peer counselor and first responder.
Tyrone became aware of his kidney issues in 2019 and he has recently started home hemodialysis. He enjoys traveling and taking cruises with friends and family, riding motorcycles, and helping others be the best they can be. Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Tyrone? Tyrone has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
