Troy Snead is a Veteran was stationed in North Carolina but born in Baltimore and raised in Bethlehem Pa. Troy's father was also a Veteran who served in Vietnam and earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Troy followed in his father's footsteps and enlisted in the Marine Corps upon HS Graduation.
It was during his military service that Troy's kidney disease, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) was first diagnosed. Despite this, he chose to stay in service as an aviation electrician for as long as he could.

Troy's kidney disease was chronic and progressive and it was determined he would need to be medically and honorably discharged. Upon discharge, Troy battled mental health challenges which led to addiction and a years long path to recovery.

Many years of dialysis, failed transplants and resilience has led to Troy finally ready to receive and take care of the gift of a kidney transplant.

Troy is a man of deep faith and trust in God's plan. He has been connected with an organization - DOVE - which is helping lead the search to find a living kidney donor for Troy as well as other US Veterans. If you would like to learn about kidney donation please contact DOVE via the link below.

While the costs of the donor medical evaluation is covered by the transplant center, costs related to travel, lodging, child chare are covered by organizations like DOVE.

If God lays it on your heart to donate, please reach out. If not, please share this message. With deep gratitude.
