Tracy Grimes served in the US Navy as a Storekeeper (SK), ensuring that supplies were available—everything from clothing and machine parts to forms, food, and sometimes ammunition. After his separation from the Navy in 1981, Tracy worked for twenty years with the Department of the Treasury as a mail equipment processing operator. He took early retirement when his job was outsourced to a private company and is now semi-retired, working part-time cleaning, repairing, and inventorying medical equipmen
Tracy is the proud father of five children and a grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren. He was diagnosed with renal neuropathy in 2014 and started dialysis a year later, which has been keeping him alive for ten years. Tracy’s faith is very important to him, and he has a passion for ministry. He is currently involved in outreach to his community, serving both physical food and spiritual help. He is especially passionate about starting a ministry for the children of veterans and first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Tracy’s heart for serving others—whether his country, his community, or the families of veterans and first responders—is admirable, and he needs your help. Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Tracy? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
Tracy has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
