Waiting

Sergeant Tony Chapman served in the Army for nine years after receiving a degree in Information Systems Management at University of Maryland. He was a computer programmer for the Department of the Army, Military Intelligence in both Germany and the Pentagon. Tony had secret security clearances with plush assignments. He also received his master's degree in computer science at George Washington University.

After leaving the Army in 1994, Tony has been working for the Federal Government in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), protecting multiple systems from data breaches by hackers. He also works in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) protecting Medicare recipients' personal information. Tony loves his job, has wonderful people working with him, and says, “His contractors make him look good!” Tony has two daughters and a 6-year-old granddaughter, has a wonderful relationship with his mother, and plans to move closer to care for her. He loves anything to do with computers and hopes to have his own e-commerce business one day.

Tony battled high blood pressure and later had adrenal gland complications that eventually destroyed his kidneys. Unfortunately, he has been dependent on dialysis to keep him going since 2017 but chooses to stay positive. Tony does battle with low blood pressure; thankfully, he can work from home. He has a dream of one day being able to travel again and would love to go on a cruise – he needs your help. Will you join our mission in finding Tony a living kidney donor by sharing his story with everyone you know; will you even consider becoming a kidney donor and give him the chance of getting his life back, so he can be there to care for his family?

Tony has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-233-1611.
