Waiting
My name is Tim Tonsel, and I am a veteran, husband, father, and grandfather. I was a Specialist in the U.S. Army, MOS 74D/74B, and enjoyed my time serving in Germany. I am currently seeking a kidney donor to help overcome end-stage renal disease. My need for a transplant is urgent, and I'm reaching out to the community to find a compatible living donor.
I am a senior technologist specializing in Marketing Technologies and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. I am also an adjunct professor of web and application development, but since I have been battling end-stage kidney disease for over 3 years, I am only able to work part-time. This disease has significantly impacted my quality of life, and despite undergoing dialysis and adhering to a strict medical regimen, I require a kidney transplant to regain my health and resume normal activities.
I am married to my beautiful wife, have two daughters from a previous marriage, and twin grandbabies—a boy and a girl. I love sports and snorkeling; I practice Tai Chi; and I snowboard and ski whenever I can. My family and I are actively spreading awareness about my need for a kidney donor. We are leveraging social media, community outreach, and local organizations to reach potential donors who may be able to help.
Finding a suitable kidney donor will first and foremost save my life and will allow me to continue to be here for my grandchildren and my family in a meaningful way. I hope to raise awareness of the critical need for organ donation and inspire others to consider this life-changing act.
Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for Tim? He is seeking a kidney donor to regain his health and vitality. By sharing his story and reaching out to your community, he hopes to find a caring individual who is willing to support him in this crucial time. Any awareness or assistance in finding him a donor could profoundly impact his journey toward recovery.
Tim has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
