My name is Terry Argotsinger. I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agricultural Business and Farm Management in 1971 from Iowa State University and then served in the US Navy from 1971-1975. During my military service, I attended an accelerated school to learn every job in the Navy. I was assigned to the Great Lakes Naval Training Station to interview recruits to place them in schools or send them to the fleet for on-the-job training. While at Great Lakes, the Navy condensed the training from 11 weeks to 8 weeks to meet the needs of the fleet at that time. I worked with the Pentagon in double shifts for 3 weeks to process the flow of recruits from 10,000 at breakfast each morning to about 13,000. For that effort, I received the Navy Achievement Medal from the Secretary of the Navy.

My civilian career was all about agriculture. I was born and raised on a western Iowa livestock farm, so the foundation was set as a young boy. After my time in the military, I spent time working as a professional farm manager, consultant, appraiser, and real estate broker for two companies over 30 years. And I farmed 400 owned and rented cropland acres for seven years. I took pride in helping many young farmers get started in their careers and helped with various consultation and educational projects. One interesting project led me to Slovakia to help their Ag economy switch from communist control to a free-market environment in 1993 and 1994, shortly after the Berlin Wall fell.

Barb and I have been married for 51 years and have lived here in Storm Lake since 1978. Our 3 daughters are all married and have families, and with eight grandchildren we are busy traveling to birthday parties and ballgames. I really enjoy refurbishing antique tractors and tutoring young collectors.

About 10 years ago, my doctor told me that my kidneys were not functioning well, and they have deteriorated to the point where I have an eGFR rating of 11 and will need to start dialysis in the next 60 days. Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for me? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on my life and the life of my family!

Terry has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
