"I would love to see my grandchildren get married. A transplant will give me the best chance to live a longer and fuller life than I have now."

Richie is a Vietnam Veteran who, upon discharge from service, worked for over 23 years as a law enforcement officer. He retired in 2010 and continues to remain active in law enforcement and veteran organizations.

Richie is diagnosed with kidney failure and requires dialysis five days a week. A kidney donor would give him a chance to live the rest of his life free from dialysis.

Richie’s partner, Marcy, wanted to donate, along with other family members, but was medically declined. Richie is much more comfortable helping others than asking for help in return.
