STATUS:

Waiting

My name is Rick Diaz, and I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after high school graduation. I was proud to serve as a Personal Administration Clerk in both Okinawa, Japan, and Parris Island, South Carolina.

After my time in the military, I attended Bible School to become an ordained minister and was blessed to meet my wife, Anna, while there. I am a musician, so of course, music is an important part of my life. Over the years, I have learned to play 10 or 11 different instruments and have been leading worship at my church for the past several years.

Anna and I have been happily married for 28 years and have four wonderful children. They are a combination of biological, domestic adoption, and international adoption. I want to live long enough to see my grandchildren born and grow up, and I want to live a long, fruitful life with my wife and family.

I am 55 years old and in desperate need of a kidney. Last fall, I suddenly became very ill and could not function. I was constantly tired and could not get out of bed. At the recommendation of my family and primary care physician, I got lab work done and found out I was in kidney failure. After many hospitalizations, procedures, and the start of dialysis, I am now seeking a live donor to donate a kidney.

Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for Rick? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!

Rick has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
