STATUS:
Waiting
Captain Phillip Williams served as a Chaplain in the Army for 3 years on active duty and 7 years in the reserves. He was stationed at Fort Bragg attaining the status of JumpMaster, was a part of the US Army Special Operations Command, oversaw the JFK Chapel on base for a year, and spent four weeks deployed to Guantánamo Bay Military Base.
Phillip spent his reservist time in Kentucky as a Chaplain in a Federal Prison, spent time in West Virginia before moving to Texas and serving in Beaumont Federal Prison. He retired in 2015 as a Federal employee with 24 years of combined military and civilian service. Phillip and his wonderful wife Brenda have been married for 40 years, have raised three children, and have four grandchildren. He likes to volunteer at a local Food Pantry and enjoys reading his Bible and WWII history.
In 2015, Phillip had a lung transplant, and his doctors believe the anti-rejection medicine affected his kidneys. He is now on dialysis and is battling fatigue and dizziness as well as losing his muscle mass. Phillip does what he can when he has small bursts of energy. With a new kidney and restored health, he would love to travel again and visit his grandkids more! Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Phillip? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life!
Phillip has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and ensure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses during the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
