Lawrence Joshua, Jr. is a native of Louisiana. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army, serving overseas in Germany and at Fort Bragg, NC. His job in the Army was as a 72E Communications Specialist, and he finished as a Specialist 4/Hard Stripe Sergeant.
After leaving the military, Lawrence moved to southern California and embarked on an acting career. After attending the School of Performing Arts, he appeared in several movies and then attended film school in Los Angeles, studying writing and directing films. Lawrence worked security while going to school and even played a part in a short film that he directed.
After several years of working, Lawrence eventually developed diabetes and was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2019. Unfortunately, not long afterward, he went on dialysis. Lawrence and his wife Michelle have been married nearly 31 years, have five adult children, and one grandchild, Cameron. He loves working on films or musicals and looks forward to receiving the gift of life through a kidney transplant.
