John Piccolo is a Vietnam Veteran. When he was honorably discharged he continued to protect and serve his community as a Law Enforcement Officer for the United States Police.
After 9/11 John was one of the first responders who stayed onsite at Ground Zero for weeks to conduct forensic investigations. John has suffered from medically as a result of exposure to toxins during this time.
John is now coping with renal failure. He is reliant on an artificial kidney (dialysis machine) to survive. Dialysis keeps him living but doesn't allow him to thrive. A living kidney donor would enable John to enjoy his well deserved retirement - travel with his wife of 43 years, Ann and enjoy his children and grandchildren.
