STATUS:
Waiting
My name is James Frazier, and I served in the Army 2/3 Field Artillery. My job was as a Radio Teletype Operator, working with Morse code, building antennas, and communications. I received the Sharpshooter medal and awards for training while at AIT, plus a letter from my training Sergeant. I reached the rank of PV2 and departed from the Army in July of 1981.
After leaving the military, I went into Computer Operations and also became an over-the-road truck driver, picking up freight and delivering across all 50 states. I am a divorcee with three beautiful daughters (one has passed away), one son, seven grandchildren, and one more on the way!
Unfortunately, I have a horseshoe kidney disease that went undiagnosed until 2017 (at age 58), and I now have End-Stage Renal Disease/Stage 6 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). My GFR has dropped to the point where I am expecting to be on dialysis any day now. I love crossword puzzles and listening to all kinds of music. When my health permits, I like to play pickleball, but I am playing fewer games now because of my disease and increasing fatigue.
Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for James? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
James has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
