STATUS:

Waiting

My name is Emit Newsome, and I am a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where I served for 22 years as an Administrative Supervisor during the Vietnam War. I truly enjoyed meeting new people and traveling around the world while performing my duties. After my military service, I worked with classified documents, keeping the United States' secret information away from our enemies.

I miss my beautiful wife, Sandra, who passed away many years ago in a car accident, but I have my two children, Gerald and Nikki, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, who bring me great joy. My hobbies include fishing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family, and I make it a point to support the sporting events of my grandchildren as often as I can.

My first kidney transplant was in 2011 and lasted eight years; I needed to start dialysis again and am now in need of a second transplant. I feel very exhausted after my treatments, and I am reaching out to you all in faith and hope that you can help me share my need far and wide. My heart would greatly appreciate a generous kidney donor and the gift of new life – to be healed and full of energy to enjoy outings with my family and friends. God is keeping me here for a purpose.

Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Emit? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the lives of his family!

Emit has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
