Edward Roldan served as a Combat Medical Specialist in the US Army. He is a proud recipient of an Army Commendation medal for saving a fellow soldier’s life.
In 1999, Ed founded the Southeast Bronx Youth Coalition Inc. whose mission is to "enhance the quality of life for all young people, with emphasis on the special needs of boys and girls 6 to 18 years old, who might be economically, socially, and recreationally deprived. In pursuit of this mission, the Southeast Bronx Youth Coalition Inc. is organized to help young people recognize and achieve their potential for growth and development and to attain the skills necessary for living in a complex urban environment." Ed continues to lead as the organization's Executive Director.
Ed earned a BA in Sports Management in 2006 and is well-known as Coach Roldan. He has acted as a board member for USA FOOTBALL and the Regional Director of the Pro Sports Experience LLC / NY Giants Youth Football Camps for the last 12 years. Ed was recently awarded USA Football's Community Hero of the Year for 2023. He has been coaching for almost 40 years and is an exceptional pillar of the community.
Edward has kidney failure and he is now hoping someone will step forward to save his and other Veteran’s like him through the gift of kidney donation.
