STATUS:

Received - Deceased Donor

Donnie White is a Navy Veteran and a retired educator . Donnie taught technology in the public school system for approximately 30+ yrs.

Donnie is a loving husband, devoted family man, and is a surrogate father to many.

Donnie would like to be able to see some of the children that he mentors grow up and bloom as well as travel and visit his grandchildren. However, due to kidney failure and his health being impacted adversely on dialysis, he is physically exhausted. A kidney transplant would give him the best chance of living a long life, free from dietary and fluid restrictions and free from reliance on a machine.
Donnie's best chance is to receive a kidney from a generous and healthy living donor. Unfortunately, many in Donnie's family have stepped up to be evaluated, but were ruled out as donors due to their own health issues.

Kidney donation is safe for those who are medically cleared. The testing and surgery is all covered by the transplant hospital. Expenses related to travel and lost wages can also be covered.

Donnie is working with an advocacy group called DOVE (Donor Outreach for Veterans) DOVE is helping all US Veterans in their search for living kidney donors.

DOVE provides education, support and resources to all prospective donors. If you are interested in being Donnie's hero by learning more about kidney donation please click the link below. You can also call DOVE directly @: 551-449-8319. Thank you!
