Mr. Barrett Scoper served in the United States Marine Corps on active duty from March of 1995 to April of 2005 after serving in 9 combat tours. He served in numerous conflicts. He is an honorably discharged Veteran of Foreign War. With numerous awards to include the Navy/Marine Corps achievement medal with combat distinguished device for Valor.
While assigned to 1st Anglico a MEF asset at Camp Pendleton, California. Sgt Scoper deployed as the communications chief with his team to Kuwait for the initial invasion into Iraq January of 2003 for 6 months, and February of 2004 for 7 months as a forward air controller/forward observer.
Upon discharge from Active Duty after 10 years of service in the USMC, he began a new career working for Bakerhughes as a Drilling/completions fluid engineer, while he remained in the USMC reserves.
This Veteran who has devoted his life to serving our country - now needs our help. He is in 4th stage Kidney Failure, due to the many vaccinations he received in order to deploy and tour 63 countries during active duty service. There is no history of kidney disease on his mother or father’s side of his family. This 100% service connected disabled veteran of foreign war needs a kidney transplant.
