STATUS:

Received - Deceased Donor 1/2024

Major Althea Arvin is a 54-year-old veteran who served in the US Air Force for 12 years as an Aircraft Maintainer and has continued in aviation as a career. She has worked for Atlas Air, a freight and charter airline, for the past three years as a supply chain leader making sure they have the parts and materials needed to maintain the aircraft.

Althea is married to Jennifer and together they are raising their six children. They have one more on the way (due in June 2024) and also have a granddaughter. Althea is committed to staying fit and healthy to continue staying off dialysis. She has a love and passion for the outdoors as a hiker, kayaker, and gardener and spends as much time as she can doing them with her family. With a new kidney, Althea can be around and share the joys of her growing family; will you consider being the one to help?

Althea has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in her outreach to find her life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-449-8319.
