STATUS:
Waiting
My name is Allan Gentle, and I am an Army Veteran. My job was a 12/21 Bravo, which is a Combat Engineer. I enlisted in the Army Reserves in June of 2006, and I got out in June of 2015 as an E4 Specialist. I am a Combat Veteran who was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and came home in 2011 after a yearlong active-duty deployment. I enjoyed traveling and meeting all types of new people.
In my civilian career, I was a Supervisor at Biolife Plasma Services and worked there for 8 years. Unfortunately, I am currently no longer working due to my health issues. I loved my job because I was able to help successfully collect plasma for people in need. I am married to my lovely wife, Stephanie, and I have three beautiful girls, ages 12, 11, and 5.
I have had kidney disease since 2013 and was diagnosed with membranous nephropathy. My kidneys were only functioning at about 30 percent at that time. After catching Covid twice in 2020, my kidneys completely failed. I have been on dialysis since February of 2022 and am working to stay as fit and healthy as possible.
I enjoy traveling, watching and attending sporting events with friends and family, going shooting at the range, playing video games, watching shows and movies, working out, and listening to music. A gift of a kidney would help me get my life and health back. I would like to go out hunting for the first time and go shopping with my family.
Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for Allan? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
Allan has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
