STATUS:

Waiting

Alexander Hoinsky is a proud Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. As a result of this service, Al was exposed to Agent Orange which damaged his heart and led to his need for a life-saving heart transplant 8 years ago.

Al is married and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. One of his grandsons just completed Marine Boot camp.

Following Al's service in the military, he received a BS in Accounting as well as an MBA and he has been a health care executive for more than 35 years.

Al has been blessed with a heart transplant and he is forever grateful to his donor and donor family. However, he now is suffering from kidney disease and his life expectancy and quality of life is greatly compromised.

A kidney transplant would enable Al to thrive and continue living a full life. A living kidney donor gives Al the best chance as the wait for a deceased kidney donor is many years long.

Veterans like Al have given so much to their country and communities. What better way to show our gratitude than to be their life saving kidney donor?

Kidney donation is safe for those who are medically cleared. You can live a completely normal life with one kidney. We truly are born with a "spare" that we can share.

Thank you!
