Once a civilian, Al worked in a multitude of jobs - for nuclear plant assemblies, as a water truck driver in the Grand Canyon as a Mechanic.

Al recently has been diagnosed with kidney failure. He now relies on a machine to stay alive. His doctors have informed him he is a good candidate for a kidney transplant, but is only eligible if he is able to find a living kidney donor.
