Adrian Niblett attended college for one year before enlisting in the US Navy in 1991. He went to culinary school to become a mess management specialist attached to the 2nd Fleet and serving on the USS Mount Whitney. Adrian was sent to Johnson and Wales University in Virginia for more training in Culinary Arts. After his time with the Navy was completed in 1994, Adrian returned to Texas and worked for the past 29 years in many of the restaurants in Midland and the surrounding area until the end of 2023.
In 2005, Adrian was told his kidneys were failing due to a genetic disease that the doctors could not figure out, and eventually had one kidney removed when a mass was found. In March 2022, he started hemodialysis in the center and has been focusing on his health.
Adrian is very close with his mother and father and loves hanging out with his family and cooking outside. He enjoys playing card games like spades and playing dominoes. We invite you to join our mission to find a living kidney donor for Arian, whether through spreading the word or by considering becoming a donor. Even the simple act of sharing his story will bring us closer to finding a match for him.
Adrian has enlisted the help of a Veteran's organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran's life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call 551-233-1611.
