It is a wonderful feeling for us to post "RECEIVED" on the status of a #veteran on our website. We had just launched Veronica's story when she called to let us know she had received a deceased donor transplant last week!
We are thrilled for Veronica and wish her the very best as she recovers and moves forward with renewed life! We also are praying for her donor and donor's family. We never forget this incredibly generous act of love and kindness made during their time of loss and grief.
Because Veronica shared her story another prospective donor came forward - initially for Veronica but is now asking to be an anonymous donor to help another person in need.
Veronica's own ripple effect may lead to more lives saved all because of the generosity of organ donors and the kindness found in our communities.
