We are happy to share @dovetransplant Team 26 took place today at the Houston VA.
Amanda and her sister were able to meet her recipient , Army Veteran David Hardaway and his wife, for the first time yesterday.
Amanda shared they were all full of tears and blessings and it was a wonderfully special moment.
Amanda felt destined to be a kidney donor as a special way to honor her brother Damon - a Veteran who died before he was able to receive a transplant. She has felt her brother’s presence throughout this journey.
We are sending our love and warm wishes to Amanda and David and their families and wishing a successful transplant and easy recovery !
